The Bank
In 2006 NDT bought the former Clydesdale Bank in Neilston through the Community Right to Buy provisions of the Land Reform (Scotalnd) Act 2003, with funding from the Big Lottery Fund. This was a landmark step for the Trust and was the first commercial property to be bought in an urban area in this way. It is a great asset for NDT and the residents of Neilston. This building is your building too!
Buying the Bank was not an easy step and in order to do this a Ballot was held in Neilston to gauge the support of local residents. The Clydesdale Bank was the only banking facility in Neilston and NDT hopes to work with the local credit union to bring a facility back to the village. Watch this space for more details.
