Our Vision for NDT

We have developed a set of principles which will define and guide our approach to regeneration.  We aim to: 

  • Think big - be ambitious for Neilston and what can be achieved
  • Collaborate with and involve the community in the regeneration process
  • Act as a catalyst for ideas, facilitating  and encouraging individuals and groups to take their ideas forward
  • Support the growth and involvement of other local organisations in the regeneration of Neilston
  • Work in partnership with statutory agencies, whilst not being afraid to challenge the status quo and how services are delivered
  • Create wealth and assets for the community of Neilston
  • Become a well respected voice for the community of Neilston
  • Be business like – behaving in a professional and accountable way
  • Be flexible enough to respond to changing need and review what we do regularly.
  • Be seen and be an exemplar in the regeneration of small towns

....and above all to be dynamic and entrepreneurial – delivering with flair and creativity and a sense of fun.

In the long term we aim to generate sufficient income for the Development Trust to become self sufficient.
