Space to Live
Space to Live. Places are made up of buildings and the spaces between. These spaces - streets parks squares (and indoor spaces too) are where the life of a community finds expression. We are campaigning for the planning and implementation of a comprehensive spatial strategy for the village, of the highest design quality, based on the principles of sustainable development, and of course, reflecting the life of the community.
This is a pretty unique ambition; to build a real grass roots enthusiasm for what good design can add to quality of life and to actually attempt to have that expressed in the real-life places for the village. And we have held true to that vision during 2.5 years of development, with some very positive outcomes.
NDT is currently working with East Renfrewshire Council on a Master Plan which will redevelop Neilston for the benefits of residents and visitors alike.
